ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC JUGS / PITCHERS, LOT OF FOUR, each having black transfer patterns, comprising one example featuring an arched stone bridge with additional hand-painted green-banded decoration, one example with castle-like structures and deer or cattle in foreground, one example depicting a couple strolling in landscape with ornamented structures, and one example with high arched bridge in foreground and craggy mountains and towered buildings in background. Unmarked. Second quarter 19th century. 8 1/4" HOA.
Strolling couple example undamaged; green-banded example with rim hairline; arched bridge with deer and cattle having restoration to rim and spout; arched bridge with mountains example having light radial hairline to base with restoration to spout and rim. Some having manufacturing flaws, including firing separations, as made.
