This set was made by Russell Nord in Quincy, MA in 1932. It was modeled after the Dewitt Clinton Train, which was one of the first passenger trains in existence. Includes all blueprints, a photograph of the train from 1932, and an article from Popular Mechanics Magazine where this train was featured as a contest winner in 1933. This set comes directly from the Nord family with its own custom-made glass case. A truly one-of-a-kind piece of Americana. Size: 36" L.
