WW2 RAF 617 The Dam Busters Squadron, Leonard Cheshire VC OM DSO & 2 Bars DFC. Group Captain Leonard Cheshire agreed to take a demotion from the rank of Group Captain to Wing Commander in order to take over command of 617 Squadron in 1943, he was one of the official British observers of the nuclear bombing of Nagasaki in 1945 his vantage point being onboard the B 29 Big Stink and in 1948 he founded a disabled support charity now known worldwide as Leonard Cheshire Disability, a signed 44th Anniversary of the First Bomber Command Operation over Germany 3rd September 1939 : The First Leaflet Raid cover. Good Condition. All autographs are genuine hand signed and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. We combine postage on multiple winning lots and can ship worldwide.
