ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE "WHAMPOA" FLOW BLUE TRANSFER-PRINTED IRONSTONE WASH BASIN AND PITCHER, each having multi-panelled form with Chinoiserie scene featuring pagodas, bridges, and boats. Printed pattern name in cartouche and impressed "IRONSTONE" and "16" to underside. Mellor, Venables & Co., Burslem, England. 1834-1851. 14 1/4" HOA, basin 14 1/2" D rim.
Undamaged, except basin having a few light short scattered scratches from use. Manufacturing flaws, including stilt marks, as made.
