Description
ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE PEARLWARE TRANSFER-PRINTED AMERICAN HISTORICAL CERAMIC JUG / PITCHER, having dark blue transfer pattern, one side featuring a recumbent Lafayette by Franklin's tomb with sun rising or setting in background, and Franklin's tomb to reverse, with floral border and handle decoration. Unmarked. Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem, England. 1818-1846. 4 1/4" HOA.
Having restoration to spout with some wear to rim and handle, having a few expected short scattered scratches from use.
Literature: Transferware Collectors Club database pattern #2364.
