MONTGOMERY CO., NEW YORK FOLK ART FRAKTUR FAMILY RECORD, ink on linen, done in the style of Reverend Henry Young, Classical-style architectonic design featuring an eagle feeding her eaglets, fluted columns, two female allegorical figures, one holding anchor, the other holding a child, standing overtop a cornucopia, flanking central register, inscribed for Tunis Denise, born April 2, 1776, and his wife Elizabeth Dudley, born February 15, 1778. Housed under glass in a period frame. First quarter 19th century. 21 1/4" x 17 1/2" sight, 26" x 22" OA.
Very good overall visual condition with scattered minor losses, moderate creasing in linen, and areas of minor discoloration, frame with scattered minor losses. Not examined out of frame.
Provenance: From an Upstate New York private collection.
