Description

A Napoleon III Bronze & Black Marble Figural Mantel Clock

circa 1870, the works marked for Barrard & Vignon of Paris, the bronze figural group at top features a young woman watching over a sleeping knight, parcel gilt, the enamel dial with inset moon phase dial and sub dials for day and date amidst enameled sky and cloud decoration, all set atop a bold black marble base with ornate ormolu mounts.
