A PAIR OF ART DECO PATINATED COPPER CLAD FIGURAL BOOKENDS, "The Slave," BY THE POMPEIAN BRONZE CO, NEW YORK, 1921, each modeled as an enslaved sparsely robed and bound male captive, crouching on a rectangular base with side titled "THE SLAVE," stamped elliptical "POMPEIAN / NY / BRONZE CO." and inscribed date 1921. Height: 7" Length: 6" Depth: 4" Provenance: Property of a gentleman, Houston, Texas
