English traveller's map dated 1712. We are fairly certain that this map was part of a work by Roger Gale. Gale was born 1672 and died 1744. He was a member of the House of Commons between 1705 and 1713. Member of the Society of Antiquaries and the Royal Society. He was a collector of manuscripts and antiquarian items.
