Label on lower right reads Stair Galleries Lot 523, following information pulled from site; PAUL LEMAGNY (1905-1977): PORTRAIT DE PICASSO, WITH TÉMOIGNAGE (BLOCH 823) Etching and drypoint on wove paper, 1956, with margins, signed by Picasso in red crayon, inscribed 'epreuve d'artiste'. 23 x 17 1/4 in (sheet), 24 1/2 x 18 12/ in. (frame). Condition:Light-and mat staining. The vertical sheet edges folded back approx. 1/2 in. for framing. Taped to the overmat at the reverse of the top sheet edge. Staining along the bottom margin edge. Pablo Ruiz Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright who spent most of his adult life in France. He is probably the most important figure of 20th century, in terms of art, and art movements that occurred over this period.
