Description
Ceramic horse bust by Royal Hickman, 1940s. Hickman worked with Haeger Potteries in the 1930s and again in the 1950s, but during the mid-1940s, operated his own pottery business out of Tampa. Horse measures over 13" high. Excellent condition. Unsigned. From the collection of renowned Florida collector and author, Alfred R. Frankel, MD, author of “Old Florida Pottery: Potters in Paradise” being “The Collector’s Guide to History, Makers and Marks, 1859-1966.”
