REVEREND HENRY YOUNG (PENNSYLVANIA, 1792-1861) FOLK ART FRAKTUR BIRTH AND BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE, watercolor and ink on paper, characteristic Classical-style architectonic design featuring urns and fluted columns, two female allegorical figures, one holding anchor, the other holding a mirror inscribed "Truth", flanking central register, inscribed for Thomas Berner of Green Township in Clinton County, born April 29, 1837. Housed in an old molded-wood frame. 1837. 13 ½" x 11 ½" sight, 17 ½" x 15 ¾" OA.
Very good overall visual condition with minor areas of discoloration and light fold lines. Not examined out of frame.
Provenance: From the private collection of Jean and Robert Vogel, Reston, VA.
