Description
Antique, early 19th century French Empire Marble & gilt bronze portico mantel clock. Unsigned white face, possibly porcelain, behind glass door. Gilt bronze eagle seated atop clock, with two side columns and tiered base with applied floral and swag motifs. Structure appears to be marble, possibly alabaster. Pendulum with eagle Motif is stamped with numbers 5872, needs reaffixing to structure. Interior signed S. H. Paris. Clock measures approx 21 inches in height by 14.5 inches in width by 5 inches in depth. Very minor wear like light scratches to marble, consistent with age. One applied decoration needs replacing. Clock has not been tested.
