WINNER OF A BRONZE MEDAL. JACKSON, WILLIAM HENRY (1843-1942)
Panorama of Ouray, Colorado. Printing-out paper print, 16 1/272 1/2 inches (41.9x184.2 cm.), with Jackson's credit and title and a Detroit Photogrpahic Co. credit in the negative; in a period frame. Circa 1893; printed late 1890s

from the collection of the morristown club, the oldest private club in new jersey. Jackson created this extraordinary print by printing 4 negatives on one sheet. According to Newhall's book william h. jackson Jackson exhibited 2 large panoramas at the Calcutta Photographic Exhibit at the Government Photolithographic Works and the panorama of Ouray won a bronze metal.
