Description
American, late 19th to early 20th c., probably by J.L. Mott Iron Works, New York and Chicago. Full-bodied molded copper figure atop a large copper arrow. Nicely weathered old gilt surface with worn areas of verdigris. The figure closely resembles one depicted in the 1892 J.L. Mott Catalogue, page 56, Plate 130-Q, titled "Indian Chief". 38" tall, 51" long. Overall very good structural condition. PROVENANCE: From a private collection.
