Description
ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTERS, LOT OF THREE, comprising two having oval shape with blue "Willow" pattern and one having oval shape with molded scalloped rim and flow blue "Georgia" pattern. Blue printed marks "STONE WARE / WARRANTED", "T & B G", and "[JO]HNSON BROS / ENGLAND". Johnson Bros., Hanley, England. Second half 19th century. 15 5/8" x 12 1/2" to 17 7/8" x 13 7/8".
One having two moderate hairlines with wear to rim; one having 3 3/4" hairline on base with moderate scratches to interior from use; flow blue example with moderate rim flake.
Provenance: The Jack and Tommie Marsh collection, Columbia, SC.
