Description
An attractive Late Roman bronze applique in the form of a female face, c. 5th - 7th Century AD, of heavy construction and from a piece of furniture of bronze vessel, the facing face nicely incised with elaborate hair, three projections at lower portion and large loop at top. W: 2 1/8 in (5.4cm), L: 3 in (7.6cm). Nicely patinated and attractive! Ex estate of Dr. Adrian Zorgniotti (1925-1994).
