Description
A very old, possibly early to mid 20th century terracotta sculpture from the Ashanti / Akan peoples of Ghana, Africa. A large and very heavy figure with a serene face and expression with black painted surface and raised design. The sculpture is now only a fragment of what was possibly a full figure. The remaining sculpture has been custom mounted and measures 16 inches tall ( 18 inches on custom base)
