Hunter catching a seal. Noahadamie Nuvalinga Qumaluk (b. 1947). Grey soapstone sculpture. With Birks silver dedication plaque to base inscribed: Presented to Joseph M. Tanenbaum 1974Phinnemore Award Winner for his services to safety in construction. Signed in N. QUMALUK in Roman and disc number E91398 to base. H. 29.2 cm (11 1/2 in.) Alternate names: Qumaluk Qumaluk, Noahadamie Nuvalinga Qumaluk, Noadamie Qumaluk, Qumalu Qumaluk, Adam Qumaluk, Nuatami Qumaluk (Puvirnituq , Povungnituk). Together with an Inuit carving of a goose carving by an unidentified artist. Numbered 78879 to base. H. 11.4 cm (4 1/2 in.)
