Europe, United Kingdom, Victorian Period, ca. 19th century CE. An elegant 12 karat gold tie pin or hat pin with a thin, twisted stem and cameo of a pretty red carnelian with creamy white bands. It depicts three youthful, mostly nude women standing together, their arms wrapped around each other - the Three Graces. Size of cameo: 0.6" W x 0.8" H (1.5 cm x 2 cm); pin is: 3.25" L (8.3 cm)
