North America, US Southwest, Native American, probably Navajo, ca. mid 20th century CE. A large sterling silver watch band, intended for a man, the integral band with a curved profile that includes four sizable inlaid turquoise cabochon stones set in silver bezels with handsome rope patterned borders, the periphery of the band also adorned with rope-pattern borders, and two applied feather-shaped protrusions surround the watch face. Underneath each "feather" is a malleable piece of silver intended to secure the watch face. "Sterling" incised on verso of band. Wearable and classy as well! Total weight: 149.9 grams Size: opening measures 2.25" L x 2.875" W (5.7 cm x 7.3 cm) Size: bracelet measures 9.375" L x 1.5" W (23.8 cm x 3.8 cm); watch face measures 1.25" in diameter (3.2 cm)

Wearable as shown. Silver has developed a nice age patina. A cluster of three circular motifs and the word "Sterling" stamped into the underside of the bracelet. Watch face is Timex and works when wound - as they used to say, "Timex takes a licking and keeps on ticking." Band is Navajo made.
