Description
ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF SEVEN including a 6 1/4" HOA open-handled covered vegetable dish with light blue transfer pattern "CANOVA" with a molded flower finial on cover, two molded handled undertrays with "GRECIAN" pattern, and two 7 1/2" D plates with "Montilla" pattern by Davenport. Mid 19th century. Platters 8 1/2 x 7" to 14 1/2" x 12".
Dish with two moderate hairlines, areas of discoloration, and two flakes to underside of rim; large undertray with restoration to handle, both undertrays with hairlines and crazing with discoloration on underside; one plate with moderate flake to foot ring, two with flakes to rim, one with moderate spots of crazing, and all with wear to edges and expected scratches to interior.
