Item Details

Description

A typical Kusu power figure from Eastern Congo, in the form of a human half figure, with a simple stylised face with coffee bean eyes, short nose and closed mouth, straight, square shoulders, slightly bent arms and a round base, broadening out into a cone shape. Carved from hard wood.
Origin: Belgian Kongo
Dimensions: 32 x 12 x 11,5 cm (height including the base)
This figure was part of the Morigi collection, as is shown by the label on the base.
