Description
Early 19th c. Dark Blue Staffordshire Transferware Deep Well Oval Platter, depicting "Upper Ferry Bridge Over the River Schuylkill" (Pennsylvania), by Joseph Stubbs, Burslem, 1822-1835, border arrayed with spread wing eagles and floral sprays, with transfer printed title on base edge, 2 1/4" high, 18 3/4" x 15 1/2". Minor crazing and discoloration to base, applied paint and wear to feet and base edge, no chips or cracks.
