Prince's Personally Owned & Worn 2-Piece Salmon Pink Versace Suit Acquired From Former Wife Mayte Garcia W/Notarized Letter of Provenance, Additional LOA & Signed Book by Mayte Garcia - This two piece Versace suit was personally owned and worn by Prince in the early to mid 1990s.The salmon pink suit is comprised of a jacket with single button and padded shoulders, and matching pants with a pleat down the center. The interior of the suit contains a Versus Gianni Versace made in Italy label, and there is no size present. This suit was obtained by a collector in 2007 when he purchased a large collection of Prince's items from his ex wife Mayte Garcia, which she acquired when she was awarded the couple's villa in Spain and Prince left the items in the home. The suit will be accompanied by a notarized letter of provenance, along with a copy of a Federal lawsuit between Prince and the collector. Prince filed a lawsuit to keep the collector from selling the items to the Hard Rock, and they eventually negotiated a deal. The lot will also be accompanied by a second letter of provenance from the current owner of the suit and a signed copy of Mayte Garcia's book "The Most Beautiful. My Life With Prince."
