Frank Weston Benson (American, 1862-1951), drypoint etching "Salem Harbour", signed in plate "F.W. Benson '82", 4-1/2" x 7-1/2" pl, 9" x 11-5/8" sheet, very good condition, staining to marginal extremeties

This session features a single-owner collection of fine and rare prints, including woodcuts, wood engravings, etchings, copperplate engravings, drypoints, lithographs, and serigraphs. Compiled by a serious patron and collector of the mid-20th century who lived and bought bi-continentally in Philadelphia, New York, and Paris. This stately collection of over 1200 items has been finely preserved and never framed since purchase. We have meticulously curated the pieces into 340 lots.
