Description
Vintage Hercules Mechanical Ferris Wheel Litho Toy Windup. Made by American manufacturer J. Chein & Co. circa 1930s. With wind-up mechanism and bell, as-is condition, wind-up function is not working. A little rust and fading of the graphics but wear is consistent with age. This is the earliest of the Chein sold Ferris wheels, it can be identified by its period graphics (knickers, old style orangeade dispenser) and the freak show side panels. The freaks were replaced with animals in later versions. Measures 10"x5"x16". Weight 2 pd 5 oz.
