Description
J & E Stevens Company Cromwell, Connecticut - Tammany Mechanical Bank.  Cast iron with original paint. Patent June 3, 1875. Together with it's original wooden slide top box. Presentation inscription on the lid of the box dated 1878. Place a coin in his hand and its weight causes the hand to lower and deposit the coin into his pocket. His nod signifies that he has accepted your "gift/bribe". 6.125"X3.375"X4.25" Dimensions of box: 6.5"X4.125"X5"  Box has a crack in the lid.

The bank was inspected under UV light. We saw no fluorescing or indications of repainting. The lid of the box is cracked and is held together with tape. This condition report is provided as a courtesy and is not a guarantee.
