Lot 0067 Details
Natural sapphire and diamond ring from the Estate of Milton Horowitz, NYC.Along with a GIA report showing the sapphire is natural and without treatment. The sapphire weighs 9.65 carats. This ring also has 4 round full cut G color VS1 .05ct round diamonds, and several small square cut sapphires, channel set, that were not tested for natural vs. synthetic.Platinum mounting.Ring size is 8.
Good condition overall, there is a slight abrasion where the facet junctions meet at the corner of the table. The ring is about 1 inch across.Abrasion is pretty small, hard to photograph. It looks like wear, where the two edges meet a the top of the table. Not noticeably with the naked eye, but visible under 10x magnification.A second slight abrasion lower down, again, where the facet junctions meet, barely visible with the naked eye, easily polished out if desired(David Killen Gallery will have the polishing done if asked, for the fee the polisher charges, usually around 150.00).But we are talking about a tiny tiny abrasion at the corner of two facet junctions, again, barely visible with the naked eye, to most people not visible.
