PENNSYLVANIA PAINT-DECORATED TOLE SYRUP PITCHER, asphaltum ground with original polychrome decoration, conical form with triangular spout, hinged lid with thumbtab, and strap handle. First half 19th century. 4 1/4" H, 3" D base.
Very good condition with only minute losses to decoration, loss to ground on lid and handle.
Provenance: From the 50-plus year collection of the late Joan M. Wentz, Germansville, PA.
