Description
PENNSYLVANIA PAINT-DECORATED TOLE COFFEE POT, asphaltum ground with original polychrome decoration, lighthouse form with gooseneck spout, hinged lid with brass finial, and strap handle with thumb tab. First half 19th century. 10 1/2" H, 6 3/8" D base.
Excellent condition with only some very minor losses to the ground on one side of spout, and a few other very minute losses, light wear to ground on one side below rim, applied lid cap slightly compressed below finial and slightly separated at joint on one side.
Provenance: From the 50-plus year collection of the late Joan M. Wentz, Germansville, PA.
