Description
Four Victorian brooches. To include an early Victorian gold enamel, diamond and seed pearl memorial brooch, a late Victorian gold agate memorial brooch, with two late Victorian floral jet brooches. Lengths 3.8 to 6cms.
Condition
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • One memorial brooch with glazed hair panel, with personal engraving to reverse, 'Presented to Emily Badger by her Grandma Apr 24th 1847.'
  • Diamonds fairly well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate carat weight, colour and clarity assessment.

  • Enamel is in good condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the edges.

  • Split pearls are in good condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the surfaces.

  • Total weight of memorial brooches 34.6gms.
  • Jet is in good to fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges, small nicks and chips.
