Map is 61.8x85.7 cm (24¼x33¼"); sheet of views 64x88 cm (25¼x34½"), both folding into original embossed blindstamped cloth folder lettered in gilt with metal clasp, 18.7x11.5 cm (7½x4½").
Brightly colored map of what is now the eastern half of the United States, paired with a sheet of 32 small maps of the vicinities of the leading cities of the nation surrounding a number of statistical tables. These latter include the population of the states, their various classes (white men, white women, male and female coloured and the number that are slaves), agriculture and manufactured products, etc. Phillips, Maps, p 896; Streeter 3861; Graff 2838.
