Description

A mid Victorian gold, hardstone cameo, cultured pearl and enamel hinged bangle. The agate carved to depict a woman in profile with blue enamel mount, to the cultured pearl, blue enamel and gold wreath surround and similarly-designed openwork sides. Inner diameter 6cms. Weight 45gms.

Condition

Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

Glue visible to some areas of enamel.

Enamel possible replacement.

Agate has two small natural fissures to one side, one surface reaching.

Cultured pearls are drilled, probable replacements.

Width (at widest) 4.3cms.
