Description
**First Time At Auction**

Ancient Near East, northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1000 BCE. A pair of bronze vessels, one a bowl with a flared base and steep walls, and one a round-sided bowl with a very slight lip. Luristan is famous for its lost wax casting of bronze items. These bowls may have been made to hold libations or offerings in the tomb. Size of largest (rounded one): 5.5" W x 2.75" H (14 cm x 7 cm)

Provenance: the late John Piscopo collection, San Diego, California, USA

Condition
The taller bowl has corrosion to its base with losses around part of its edges. The other has a slight tear from its rim. Nice mottled dark turquoise/green patina on both.
