Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. Two cast bronze amulets: one a simple human figure standing with arms and legs splayed out and a downcast, heavy-browed face, the other a standing bird with a long neck and compact body - perhaps a chicken. Both have loops for suspension and are still wearable! Size of largest (bird): 1.2" W x 1.1" H (3 cm x 2.8 cm)
Provenance: private New York, USA collection
