Description
  • Date: 2nd half of the 20th Century
  • Origin/Tribe: Has been danced a lot, One big non disturbing crack in the face.
  • Material: Wood, paint and iron.
  • Dimensions: Height 52 cm. Width 28 cm. Depth 28 cm.
  • Additional Information: This authentic mask has traced of a lot of wear and tear. It has paid repainted different times. I removed a lot of small nails who where used to fix the robe in fabric to hide the dancer. This mask has the symbol of the Leopard and the Snake on top.
    The Ogoni are perhaps the oldest settlers of the Eastern Niger Delta, living south of the Igbo, west of the Ibibio, and just inland from the Andoni peoples of the Atlantic coast.
