Novaelle on tractate Kiddushin by one of the early Rabbis, whose name is unknown. With commentary on tractate Kinim. Constantinople, 1751. First edition. Handwritten glosses.Â
Specifications: [2] 62 leaves, 30 cm. Ya'ari Kushta 426.Â
Background: First edition of the book known as 'Shita Lo Noda L'Mi' which is novaelle from one of the Rishonim. The publisher writes in the introduction how the manuscript came to be in his possession. Refer to Meir Benayahu, HaShita "Lo Noda L'Mi", Kiryat Sefer, 25, 1949, pages 126-131. With three commentaries from the Rishonim on tractate Kinim: the Ra'avad, Raz"eh and the Rosh.Â
Unique Features: Ownership signatures on the title page of Rabbis from the Ashkenazi and Antebbi families. Several scholarly glosses in Sephardi handwriting.Â
Condition: Fine. Stains and slight worming holes. Binding is detached from the book.Â
