Continental, likely French, late 19th century. A pair of gilt bronze figural chenets modeled as draped winged cherubs or putto reclining on a naturalistic base with lily pads and holding reins to swan, raised on toupie feet. Approximate height 15.37", width 14", depth 6.5".
One bolt is missing from back toupie leg. Areas of oxidation and small scattered losses to gilt finish. 'Reins' are loose on one chenet.
