Faberge 84 Silver & Powder Blue Guilloche Enamel Pill Box W/Uncut Diamond Accents & Ruby Cabochon *Work Master HW (Henrik Wingstrom)* in Faberge Leather Casket - This magnificent piece is made of solid 84 silver (pre-revolution Russian standard for silver), and is flawlessly decorated with a stunning powder blue guilloche enamel. The center of the box bears the Russian Imperial Warrant crest, which is decorated with genuine uncut diamond accents and finished with a 3mm (approximate) genuine ruby cabochon. The outer perimeter of the box has a rose motif in relief, and is finished with reeded edges. This piece shows stunning attention to detail, and is a well made, heavy piece. The box bears the work master's mark "HW" for Henrik Wingstrom, who was active from 1903 to 1917 and inherited the Perkhin workshop after the death of his friend. Wingstrom became the third and last senior workmaster responsible for most of the Tsar Imperial Easter eggs for the years 1904-1917. The box is also marked "Faberge" (in Cyrillic), and bears "84" Russian silver standard (St. Petersburg 1908-1917). The box is in beautiful condition, and will come housed in a Faberge leather casket. The piece measures approx. 2" in diameter x 16.5mm thick. (WEIGHT: 89.2 grams)
