A late Victorian garnet and seed pearl hinged bangle. The front designed as a garnet cabochon and seed pearl cluster, to the scroll engraved sides and grooved half-bangle. Inner diameter 6.2cms. Weight 29.3gms.
ConditionOverall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Repairs to bangle. The grooved bangle has been altered. The plain central panel is a possible replacement. Solder marks present. Minor scratches and dents present. Seed pearls are possible replacements. Garnet medium reddish purple, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
