Title: The Large Bather, circa 1928 (Black and white)
Technique: Original Lithograph on Arches vellum paper
Paper size: 90.5 x 63.6 cm / 35.6 x 25 in
Additional Information: This is an original lithograph by the artist Raoul Dufy.
It is a rare black and white trial proof of his famous lithograph “La Grande Baigneuse” from circa 1928 before the colour plates were added.
The paper bears the Arches watermark.
Literature: Inventaire du Fonds Français après 1800 / Bibliothèque nationale, Département des estampes. Tome septième, Doré-Folk / par Jean Adhémar,... et Jacques Lethève. - Paris, 1954.
Reference: IFF 41
Condition: Very Good condition. Minor light, time and mat staining, and handling creases. Some skinning on verso.
