Description
English, early 19th century. A small George III inlaid satinwood tea caddy, having a box form, the hinged lid centered with a green tinged and marquetry inlaid fruitwood shell medallion, with stained mahogany edging, the front with a central green tinged three feather plume emerging from a coronet, the heraldic badge of the Prince of Wales, opening to reveal a lidded compartment and a gold foil lined lid. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 4.425", width 4.675", depth 4.8".
