Continental, likely French, mid to late 19th century. A pair of figural Empire style gilt bronze cartel clocks, each having a cloud form, accented with three patinated bronze cherubim around the Roman dial, with rays of sunlight and a bow and arrow. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 28", width 15", depth 5.5".
Wear commensurate with age and use. Some tarnishing to gilt finish. Oxidation to round clock faces. Hands of clocks do not match - appears to have been replaced. Not running.
