A late Victorian 15ct gold diamond hinged bangle.

Description
A late Victorian 15ct gold diamond hinged bangle. Designed as an old-cut diamond graduated line, with cannetille, rope-twist and bead detail, to the plain half bangle, with late personalised engraving. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. Inner diameter 5.8cms. Weight 10.4gms.
Condition
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

  • Obvious repair to the clasp re-joining tongue to half-bangle reverse.

  • Diamonds well matched.

  • Diamonds bright.

  • Diamonds show some small light and dark coloured inclusions under magnification.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Personalised engraving reads To Gywn from Eber, 29th August 1943.
