Description
Two early 20th century 18ct gold gem-set rings. Each designed as a graduated ruby and diamond line, with scrolling engraved shoulders. Hallmarks for Chester, 1902 and Birmingham, 1918. Weight 5.9gms.
Condition
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • One band with evidence of a resize.
  • Diamonds bright and well matched.
  • Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

  • Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Ruby medium red, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Ruby in good to fair condition with minor to moderate abrasion and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • Hallmarks partially indistinct.
  • Ring sizes I and O.
