Lot 0100 Details

One of the Four Digpalas, the Guardians of the Four Directions, Lokpalas or Digpalas, later on they acted in particular as guardians of the world against penetrating demons. This gilt bronze statue is depicted Jambhala, riding a lion as Vaishravana or Kubera, is guardians of the North but its also known as separate God of wealth and prosperity. Right hand holding a umbrella spear.
The underside marked with four flori-form petals of double vajra, and a centralize yin-yang symbol.

Provenance: Charlotte, North Carolina private collector.

Dimension: 8" H
Excellent condition, with normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dent. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, considering ages and wears.
