Description
A late Victorian gold diamond hinged bangle. The tapered panel, with circular-cut diamond spaced line highlight, to the replacement 15ct gold openwork sides and half-bangle. Estimated total diamond weight 0.35ct. Reverse half-bangle with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1885. Inner diameter 5.9cms. Total weight 9.3gms.
Condition
  • Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Bangle with more noticeable dents to the sides.
  • One wire section to a side is split.
  • Diamond panel believed later marriage to near contemporary sections.
  • Diamonds bright and well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
