Chinese, early 19th century. A pair of blue and white porcelain plates, each having a central pagoda with a floral border. Unmarked. Approximate diameter 8.9". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Mrs. Nancy Rutledge Pogue, Blufton, South Carolina (wife of Mr. William Pogue, who served as an heir to the H. & S. Pogue Company department store chain based in Cincinnati, Ohio).
Plate in image #2 with tight hairline to interior bowl; stable and very small minute flea bite to rim felt with fingernail. The other plate with old repairs to edges observed under blacklight.
