The desk having upper gated gallery with gilt bronze mounts of female busts, urns, and putti, lacquered black surface to case throughout interspersed with painted faux marquetry inlay, rolltop midsection opening to five drawers and pigeonholes, writing surface extending outward, reverse case with conforming faux marquetry flanking gilt panel of putti, lower serpentine case with five drawers, cabriole legs with female busts to shoulders, raised on saboted scrolled feet.
